I bought this strap to hold my whip on my belt, so I could use the strap I had been using to hold my buckler again. I got it in red with a black clasp so it would contrast and compliment the whip, and it looks great. The strap holds the whip nicely with the handle horizonal or vertical, depending on what else I put on the belt near it. Construction is solid. The clasp is set up so that it won’t just slip open if the latch pin is slid out. The post has to go toward the inside before letting go. This is a good design, and it keeps the held item from dropping accidentally.
